The Lawton Street Urban Renewal District is part of a $750 million downtown revitalization project that will encompass a full downtown block, across the street from Trump Plaza. The 875,000-square-foot mixed used development will include hotel, office, retail and luxury residential housing. Combined with Trump Plaza, this new project will provide a vital link at the critical intersection of North Avenue and Huguenot Street.
The new luxury residential-retail-hotel-office complex will feature two, 32-story, 390-foot towers comprising 400,000 square feet of luxury residences, and 200,000 square feet of boutique retail space including national tenants on multiple levels. Additionally, an office/hotel complex of 300,000 square feet is proposed as part of the project.
This Urban Renewal District has been targeted for re-development by the City of New rochelle for several decades. It is strategically situated between Cappelli Enterprise's New Roc City complex, the 32-story Trump Plaza luxury residential tower, and Avalon Bay's 411-unit luxury rental apartment towers.
