NEW ROCHELLE, NY (2006-07-24) The dog days of summer are anything but slow at Trump Plaza where sales are moving as fast as construction of the new 40-story luxury residential tower that soars above the New Rochelle skyline.
Since sales began six months ago, nearly 40 percent of the 187 residences have been sold, making Trump Plaza one of the hottest-selling high-rise condominium projects in the area.
Typically, when you begin sales on a new project there's a flurry of activity followed by a slowdown. However, at Trump Plaza we are not seeing a slowdown. In fact, July, which is usually a slow month for housing sales, has been one of our busiest months so far, said Trump Plaza Sales Manager Elvira Arias. We are currently averaging nine sales per month, which is tremendous she added.
Trump Plaza is the latest success story of developers Louis R. Cappelli and Donald J. Trump, who first teamed up to create the phenomenally successful Trump Tower in White Plains.
Designed by the nationally recognized architectural firm of Lessard Architecture, Trump Plaza features 187 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences. The building will feature an elegant marble lobby, an indoor swimming pool and full-service health club, a business center, a rooftop garden and 24-hour valet parking and concierge services. The residences are priced from the low $500's to $1.5 million.
When it tops off on July 31, the 40-story Trump Plaza will be the tallest building in Westchester, offering spectacular views of Long Island Sound, the New York City skyline and the Westchester countryside. Each elegantly designed residence features hardwood floors; gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, custom cabinetry, top-of-the-line floating glass and stainless steel appliances; marble baths with designer vanities and sinks; and numerous other features for which Trump buildings are known. Trump Plaza is conveniently located one block from New Rochelle's new rail Transportation Center and five minutes from Interstate 95.
Construction of the 352,600-square-foot building is progressing rapidly with completion expected in the third quarter of 2007. While area residents watch construction of Trump Plaza as it rises 435 feet above downtown New Rochelle, prospective buyers can get a first-hand look at the beautifully appointed residences at the Trump Plaza Sales Center. Located at 145 Huguenot Street immediately adjacent to the construction site, the Trump Plaza Sales Center features full-size, furnished model apartments that include all the fixtures and finishes that will be standard in the condominium residences.
Ms. Arias said Trump Plaza is attracting buyers from throughout the New York metropolitan area, with about half from Westchester and a growing number of buyers moving from Manhattan and nearby Riverdale. With its easy access to Manhattan and its outstanding recreational opportunities, New Rochelle is emerging as one of the region's most sought-after downtown residential markets. Trump Plaza is elevating that status to new heights, she said.
The Marketing Directors is the exclusive sales and marketing agent for Trump Plaza. George A. Fuller, a Cappelli company, is the general contractor.
Cappelli Enterprises Inc. is a leading real estate developer and general contractor in the Northeast. Headquartered in Valhalla, NY, the company has built more than 10 million square feet of mixed use, retail, waterfront, residential, office building, laboratory and parking facilities.
