In White Plains, the three level space features walls of windows which bring in plenty of sunshine and a floor to ceiling ombre mural. Diners will notice the open kitchen with wood-burning oven; other touches include walnut woods and white Calcutta marble. There’s a private dining area in the lower level which seats up to 30 people and a glass enclosed elevator.
Mediterraneo, specializing in small batch cooking. It will serve coastal Mediterranean dishes in a French and Italian-style of cooking.
The menu, which will change seasonally, is farm-to-table featuring wood-fired pizzas, seafood, vegetables and homemade pastas plus a signature burger. Cocktails will also be made with local and seasonal offerings.
“The most central thing is the food — scratch cooking and small batch. Our executive chef only orders what he’s going to make for that night,” says Hamboussi.
